Share a Meal in Schools

Category: Education • Child Nutrition • Community Development

Status: Future Goal

Target: Provide 10 million nutritious school meals to children in underserved communities by 2035.

Our Goal

At FANDS Foundation, we believe that no child should have to choose between learning and hunger. Through the Share a Meal in Schools initiative, we are committed to ensuring that every child has access to a healthy, nutritious meal during the school day.

By addressing classroom hunger, we aim to improve school attendance, enhance learning outcomes, promote better health, and give every child an equal opportunity to succeed.

Why This Goal Matters

Hunger remains one of the greatest barriers to education. A child who is hungry struggles to concentrate, participate, and perform academically.

By providing nutritious meals in schools, we can:

  • Improve attendance and reduce absenteeism.
  • Enhance concentration and academic performance.
  • Support healthy physical and mental development.
  • Reduce malnutrition among vulnerable children.
  • Encourage families to keep children in school.

Our Objectives

  • Provide nutritious meals to school children every school day.
  • Partner with schools to establish sustainable feeding programs.
  • Source food from local farmers whenever possible.
  • Promote nutrition education and healthy eating habits.
  • Expand school meal programs to underserved communities.

Expected Impact by 2035

  • 🍽️ 10 Million meals served
  • 👧🏽 200,000 children reached
  • 🏫 500 schools supported
  • 📈 Higher school attendance
  • ❤️ Better child health and nutrition
  • 🌾 Increased income for local farmers
