Caring for Displaced and Vulnerable Children in Refugee Settlements

Background

Many children living in refugee and displaced communities face daily hardship. They often lack adequate food, safe shelter, proper clothing, education, and healthcare. Some have lost parents, while others live in families struggling to survive with little or no income. These children grow up in uncertainty, exposed to poverty, hunger, and limited opportunities for development.

This project aims to provide comprehensive care and protection for displaced children by ensuring access to basic needs, education, and emotional support so they can grow in a safe and hopeful environment.

2. Problem Statement

Displaced and refugee children face serious challenges, including:

  • Lack of food and proper nutrition
  • Limited access to education and school materials
  • Poor clothing and unsafe living conditions
  • Risk of child labor, neglect, and exploitation
  • Emotional stress and trauma from displacement
  • Limited access to healthcare and hygiene facilities

Without timely support, these children remain vulnerable and their future opportunities are severely affected.
