Empowering 100 Children with Disabilities in Bakijjulura Village: Building Inclusive Futures Through Care, Education, and Opportunity

///

In Bakijjulura Village, there are about 100 children living with different forms of disabilities, including physical disabilities, hearing and visual impairments, developmental challenges, and other special needs. Many of these children come from extremely vulnerable families who struggle to provide even the basic necessities of life.

For  years, these children have faced exclusion, poverty, and limited opportunities. Some have never attended school because their families cannot afford special learning materials, transportation, medical support, or therapy services. Others remain at home because their parents lack knowledge and resources to support their development. Many families depend on small-scale farming, casual labor, or community assistance to survive, making it difficult to meet the additional costs associated with raising a child with a disability.

Despite these challenges, these children have dreams and abilities that can be developed when given the right support. With access to education, healthcare, rehabilitation services, assistive devices, and basic needs, they can gain confidence, develop skills, and participate fully in their communities.

This project seeks support to restore hope, dignity, and opportunities for 100 children with disabilities in Bakijjulura Village by providing the essential resources they need to grow, learn, and live more independent lives.
