Joseph is Fighting for a Future
Joseph Mukisa is a brave young soul who knows the weight of loss far too well for someone his age. He once had parents who loved and protected him, dreams that felt possible, and a future that seemed safe in their hands. Today, Joseph walks alone.
His father was a devoted Ugandan soldier who served with honor and courage on the battlefield in Somalia, fighting to protect innocent lives. He never returned. He gave his life in service to others, leaving behind a family that would forever feel his absence. Not long after, Joseph’s motherhis last pillar of strength and comfort—succumbed to HIV. With her passing, Joseph lost not only a parent, but the only remaining shield he had against the harshness of the world.
Today, Joseph faces life as an orphan with no steady source of support. His greatest hope is education—the one thing that can lift him out of poverty and give meaning to the sacrifices his parents made. He dreams of going to school, of learning, of becoming someone who can one day support himself and help others. But dreams alone cannot pay school fees. They cannot buy books, uniforms, or meals. Without help, Joseph’s chances of continuing his education are slipping away.
Without sponsorship, Joseph’s future is painfully uncertain. He risks being forced out of school permanently, pushed into child labor, early exploitation, or life on the streetswhere hunger, disease, and danger are everyday realities. A bright, intelligent child who could grow into a teacher, a doctor, or a community leader could instead become another lost statistic of poverty and neglect. His parents’ sacrifices would fade into silence, and his potential would never be realized.
But your support can change everything.
Without help his future may be lost.
With your help, his future can be saved.
