Since February 23, 2013, Robert Nsubugga has carried a dream bigger than himself — to serve as a soldier in the United States peacekeeping force and proudly wear the uniform he admires. A passionate football lover, Robert’s discipline and teamwork on the field mirror the qualities he hopes to bring to the army. But behind his bright eyes lies a quiet fear: his family’s income is barely one dollar a day. With such limited means, his dream feels painfully distant.
Each day, Robert trains himself, both physically and mentally, believing that one day he will stand tall in uniform, protecting peace and inspiring others from his village. Yet, without help, his ambitions risk fading into the shadows of poverty.
