In the quiet village of kasana, a young girl named Fauza lives with her parents and two younger brothers. Fauza’s family is poor and others days, they spend nights with empty stomachs, but even in the situation like that, Fauza carries a dream in her heart. She wants to a nurse.
Her desire came from watching her neighbors struggle whenever they fell sick. The nearest health center was far away, and many people could not reach it in time. Once, she saw an old woman collapse by the roadside. With no medicine and no one to help, Fauza felt powerless. That night, as her own stomach growled with hunger, she whispered to herself, “If I were a nurse, I could have helped her.”
At school, Fauza loved science lessons. She would raise her hand eagerly, answering questions even when her uniform is torn and her exercise books are nearly finished. Her teachers sees the fire in her eyes, but they also know her family’s struggle. Many times, Fauza misses class because her parents can not pay school fees for her.
And each day,Fauza prays and waiting for the day when someone would see her determination and help her to see her dream come to pass.
