In the village of kiwogozi, Uganda, lives a boy called Nassar. From the outside, Nassar’s life looks ordinary. But deep inside, he carries an extraordinary fire: he wants to become a doctor.
Nassar has no parent. They both passed away when he was still very small, and he grown up moving from one relative’s home to another.Yet through all this, one thing never changed—his dream.
At the age of seven, Nassar saw a child in his village die from a simple infection that could have been treated. He asked an older man, “Why didn’t anyone help?” The man sighed and said, “Doctors are far, and treatment is costly.” That answer burned in Nassar’s heart. From that day, he decided: “I will be a doctor. I will save lives.”
Some people laugh at him. “How can a boy with no parents, no money, and no shoes ever become a doctor?” they mock him. Nassar still needs help with school fees, food and guidance.
