Jovan lives with his elderly grandmother in a small home weighed down by poverty. In their big family, four children are under eighteen, all depending on their grandmother’s strength. She works in other people’s gardens to earn money for food and school fees, yet many times she is not paid. Even in hardship, Jovan studies diligently and dreams of becoming a teacher.
Without support, Jovan may be forced to drop out of school because of unpaid fees and lack of basic needs. His dream could slowly disappear, and he might engage in child labour .
