Emmanuel is a twelve-year-old boy from Uganda. His life changed forever the day he lost his father in a terrible motor accident. The memory is still fresh in his heart—the broken vehicle, the tears of his mother, and the pain of knowing that his father would never come home again. From that moment, Emmanuel promised himself something: “One day, I will learn how to fix cars so that I can save lives.”
Since then, Emmanuel has carried a dream of becoming a mechanic. Whenever he sees cars or motorcycles in his village, he runs close just to watch how they work. He spends hours asking questions, peeking into open engines, and trying to understand what makes vehicles move. His eyes light up when he sees a mechanic at work, and he whispers, “That will be me one day.”
But Emmanuel’s life is not easy. With his father gone, his mother struggles just to put food on the table. Paying for Emmanuel’s school fees and buying materials for technical training is almost impossible. Sometimes Emmanuel misses school because there is no money, and his dream feels like it is drifting further away.
Still, he refuses to give up. Every evening, he collects old wires, broken radios, and bicycle parts from the rubbish pile. With his small hands, he tries to join them together, pretending he is repairing a real car. Though he has no tools, no garage, and no teacher, Musa believes that one day he will learn properly.
Musa wants to become a mechanic not only for himself but also for his community. He says, “If I can fix vehicles well, maybe accidents like the one that took my father won’t happen again.” His dream is to open a garage in the future, where he can repair vehicles safely and even train other young people like him.
Emmanuel’s story is not just about loss—it is about hope. He carries pain in his heart, but also determination in his spirit. What he needs is a chance: someone to help him study, someone to give him the tools to turn his dream into reality.
