PIUS's Story
Pius is an orphan who lost his mother when he was only six months old. Since then, he has been living with his stepmother, who is also struggling to provide basic needs due to poverty. Life at home is difficult, with limited food, poor living conditions, and little access to medical care. Pius also lives in pain worried about the disease on his right hand that started since his tender age. A swollen part was once operated when he was young and some fluids removed but now it's growing bigger each day, causing fear with pain that has eaten his right breast and uncertainty because the family does not know the cause or how to treat it.
Despite these challenges, Pius is a determined and hopeful boy. He dreams of becoming a doctor so he can help sick people and support families like his. He believes education is his only path to changing his life.
With donor support, Pius can access school fees, medical examination and treatment, scholastic materials, and proper nutrition. With this help, he can grow into a professional who makes his family, community, and supporters proud, while giving hope to others facing similar struggles.
